Violin Faculty

Aga Kowalsky, Violin

Aga Kowalsky is originally from Bielsko-Biala, Poland. She has a Masters degree in Music and Music Pedagogy from Wroclaw Academy of Music and a Performance Diploma from the Freiburg School for Music, Germany.  She has been an active suzuki member and teacher since 2004. She is certified from the Suzuki Association of America in Every Child Can and Violin Books 1A-4, studying under Ronda Cole.  She has additionally completed several teacher enrichment courses in Group violin classes and Music Mind Games I and II (with Michiko Yurko.) She is a member of the Suzuki Association of America and SAGWA.

Aga is an active performer in the D.C. area as well, performing with all local musical ensembles including the Kennedy Center National Opera, National Gallery Orchestra, Alexandria Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony (PA), and the National Philharmonic. She has performed under renowned conductors such as James Levine, Zubin Mehta, Wolfgang Sawallisch and Valerie Gergiev. She has also performed with musical superstar Andrea Bocelli.  
Aga is founder and director of Suzuki Violin Center.
